Dr. Aakif Ullah Khan, who assumed the role of director at IRNUM on September 24, 2019, Dr. Khan's visionary leadership has sparked a resurgence in patient care, fostering an environment where the well-being and comfort of patients are paramount. His strategic initiatives have not only elevated the standard of care but have also facilitated the modernization and preservation of IRNUM's infrastructure and resources.

Inauguration Of IRNUM
On November 14, 1975, the inauguration of the Institute of Radiotherapy and Nuclear Medicine (IRNUM) marked a significant milestone in the healthcare landscape of the Northwest Frontier Province (now Khyber Pakhtunkhwa). Led by the Chief Minister Mr. Nasullah Khan Khattak, the ceremony underscored the collaborative efforts between the provincial government and the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) in establishing this pioneering institution.

Foundation Stone Of IRNUM
In the year 1973, the foundation stone of IRNUM was laid by the then Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. It was a momentous occasion, symbolizing the dawn of a new era in healthcare for the people of Peshawar and beyond.
