Bio-Medics & Engineering Division

Bio-Medics & Engineering Division (BM & ED) is concerned with development jobs and repair / maintenance of whole hospital accessories including all types of sophisticated Biomedical Equipments, Wooden fixtures, Plumbing tasks, Civil & Electrical tasks, Firefighting etc. The Division is fully functioning according to well-defined responsibilities and authorities.

This Division consists of five sections / groups: i. Electronics Section: Electronics Section is concerned with the repairing and prompts preventive maintenance of all Biomedical equipments including CCTV system as well as other electronics related assignments for safe and trouble free operation of the Biomedical/ Electronics equipments. ii. General Services Section: General Services is concerned with development and maintenance of the institute by providing allied facilities i.e. a. Repair and maintenance of Heating, Ventilation, and Air conditioning (HVAC) systems. b. Electrical works include repair & maintenance of electrical equipments, wiring and related fixtures c. Civil related Developmental Engineering Works includes maintenance of hospital building, wards, doctors’ duty rooms, and security hostel. d. The miscellaneous responsibilities include plumbing, carpentry, painting etc.

iii. Telecom Section: This section is concerned with safe and smooth operation of telephone exchange as well as repair & maintenance of local and landline numbers in the hospital. iv. IT Section: This section is concerned with providing smooth and trouble free operation of HMIS and networking in the whole hospital. v. Fire Safety Section: Fire safety is the main section of this division and its responsibility is to implement day to day fire safety protocols, guidelines / advisory and execution of fire emergency drills as per approved schedule to cater any fire emergency well in time and ensure safety of personnel, equipments and hospital infrastructure.
