Dr. Iftikhar Ahmad graduated from University of Peshawar with distinction. He received his MS degree (Medical Physics) in 2007 and PhD (Medical Physics) in 2016 from PIEAS, Islamabad. He is the recipient of: • IAEA Technical Fellowship at Department of Nuclear Medicine, Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand (May-June 2024) • UICC Technical Fellowship at Department of Radiation Oncology, University General Hospital, Perugia, Italy (May 2019) • HEC International Research Support Initiative Program (IRSIP) exchange program for research at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, University of Toronto, Canada in 2014 • IT and EF postgraduate scholarship for PhD studies • Gold Medal awarded by Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission in 2010 • Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission fellowship for MS Medical Physics in 2005. Currently he is working as Radiation Protection Officer (RPO) and Convener of Research, Development and Publication Committee (RDPC), and focal member of PDT Clinic at IRNUM, Peshawar. He has more than 100 research publications in international journals, more than 1100 citations and i10-index ~ 35.
